Marie Bracquemond (1840 - 1916)

Marie was a French Impressionist artist, who had age 17, already had a painting accepted by the Paris Salon exhibition. She worked on commissions and copies of the old Masters for the Louvre in Paris. Later she began to be influenced by the impressionists and started painting plein air. Monet and Degas became her mentors and she would exhibit with them. She was also included in the 2018 exhibit Women in Paris 1850-1900.
